Comments and Updates

Two things:

I had a sad experience the other day. Seth P. told me that he read an update on the blog he thought was really funny. Shortly thereafter, I asked him if he had left a comment. He replied negative. It was super depressing, because I rely on comments and feedback in order for (1), knowing when people have read the entry, and (2), improving my writing for your enjoyment. So, you should leave a comment, even if it's just, "nice." or something like that. o.0

Also, I've been thinking about setting up a contact list in my email, and adding "subscriptions" so that you can know when I've made an update. If you want to "subscribe," lemme know, and I will add you to the list, and send you updates when I make a new post. This way, you don't have to check back every time, you can just jump straight to the post. :)

Thanks a bunch,
Paul

  1. 1) I read it and 2) I agree. It makes me nervous when nobody responds to something and the first few thoughts I think are "Nobody likes it!" or "I must stink cos no one said a thing." So, comment people comment! It's reassuring to us. :)

  2. Comments are excellent, I agree.

As for the email notification thing, I think its unnecessary. If you let people know via twitter or FB status, its sufficient.

  3. i don't think comments are necessary, but totally know and love feeling special because someone cared enough to take the time and comment on what i read. Just know that no comments doesn't mean no one likes it. i guess it comes down to if you are writing for yourself, for others, or for a mix.
But i will leave more comments ;)

  4. I don't mean to say that I need to know that someone liked it, I think I just like to know that someone got to read it, but yeah, I agree. :)
